Comedian Kim Su-yong, who collapsed from a myocardial infarction, said at the time that "the heartbeat did not come back."
According to the broadcasting industry on the 10th, Kim Su-yong said in a preview for tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" released the day before, "They said even after doing CPR with a defibrillator seven times, the heartbeat did not come back."
Kim Su-yong said, "I got up and my chest felt tight," adding, "I thought, 'It's muscle pain,' and put on a pain-relief patch, and at the set I lit a cigarette and greeted Im Hyeong-jun, but that's as far as I remember."
On the 13th of last month in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, Kim Su-yong complained of chest pain and lost consciousness while filming a YouTube video with Kim Sook and actor Kim Hyeong-jun.
Kim Su-yong said, "They said my tongue was all curled up," and added, "Kim Sook pulled my tongue so that my airway wouldn't be blocked, and Im Hyeong-jun forced a vasodilator he had for emergencies into my mouth."
He also said, "(For 20 minutes) the heartbeat did not come back," and added, "I heard they even headed toward the morgue thinking I wasn't going to recover."
Kim Su-yong fortunately regained consciousness and was diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction. After undergoing angioplasty, Kim Su-yong was discharged on the 20th of last month, about a week after he collapsed.
Yu Jae-seok, the host of "You Quiz," said, "After you recovered, I called Kim Su-yong," and laughed as he added, "He joked, 'It hurts more because my rib got cracked from the CPR. When I get out, I'm going to sue Im Hyeong-jun and Kim Sook.'"
