Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow (53) revealed her children's candid reactions after she worked with Timothée Chalamet (29) in her new film "Marty Supreme." In particular, her son Moses, in his late teens, was reportedly very embarrassed, saying, "I can't watch mom's kissing scene."
According to the Daily Mail's report on the 9th (local time), Paltrow said in a recent interview, "The kids were very excited that I was working with Timothée. He is, I think, 'the face of a generation,'" and explained that daughter Apple (21), son Moses (19), and even the children of her husband Brad Falchuk all reacted enthusiastically.
But the mood flipped when paparazzi released photos of the kissing scene being filmed. Paltrow laughed and said, "The kids were especially uncomfortable when they saw the released photos. My son even more so."
Paltrow also reiterated Moses's reaction in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
She said, "My son was completely embarrassed, saying, 'Oh my god, I really can't watch this.' Still, since he's an adult, he seemed to be looking forward to the movie itself," but added, "He will definitely freak out whenever the kissing scene comes on."
She said, "The kids still want to see me only as 'mom.' They don't want to see me as an actor."
Paltrow said acquaintances' reactions were even more enthusiastic. She said, "My phone was about to blow up. Friends in L.A. and friends in the U.K. all sent photos saying, 'Yessss, G.P.!'"
Chalamet is currently dating Kylie, but the chemistry between the two in the film is already drawing attention.
This film is Paltrow's long-awaited comeback after she had effectively paused her acting career, and it is a romance-drama set in the 1950s. She plays wealthy socialite Kay Stone, and Chalamet plays Marty Mouser, who dreams of becoming a table tennis champion.
Paltrow candidly said that filming with an intimacy coordinator felt "awkward" and that "I usually prefer to do things my own way."
Meanwhile, "Marty Supreme" has recently received Golden Globe nominations and praise, and is being mentioned as Chalamet's potential Academy Award contender.
