During a one-on-one conversation between Young-sik and Young-ja on I'm SOLO, Young-sik was seen clashing as he expressed discomfort over Young-ja's trivial consolation.
On the afternoon of the 10th, ENA·SBS Plus' I'm SOLO aired an episode focusing on older-woman, younger-man pairings, continuing the stories of solo men and women who appeared on the show.
Young-sik called Young-ja aside to try to talk. Young-ja asked, "Do you need counseling?", but Young-sik began firmly, "It's the 6th. I think we should do our best until then; I don't think about after that."
Young-sik then expressed discomfort over the comforting words Young-ja had offered earlier. Watching their conversation, Song Hae-na said, "What, did you really meet to argue?" in shock, and Defconn added, "(It seems) like you're trying to say, 'Don't distort my sincerity.'"
When Young-ja asked, "Was it that my awkward attempt to console you by saying 'You'll be popular if you go out' earlier made you feel bad?", Young-sik emphasized, "It's not that I felt bad; I'm not someone who uses social media or came out for promotion. I came out seriously."
In response, Young-ja repeatedly said, "I'm sorry. If it made you feel bad, I'm sorry, but since you were alone I meant it as consolation. Young, handsome. Honestly, you're very handsome like a son," explaining that she meant to comfort him.
But Young-sik reiterated his sincerity, saying, "I thought, 'What on earth does that mean?' I'm not someone who uses social media, and I didn't come out for promotional purposes. I came out seriously," and Young-ja repeatedly apologized and tried to smooth things over.
