'this year's best rookie' CORTIS is enjoying "long-running popularity" on the Billboard charts.
According to the latest chart released by U.S. music outlet Billboard (Dec. 13), CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho)'s debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' ranked 169th on the main album chart, the Billboard 200. It is the group's second consecutive week on the chart after re-entering at 121 (Dec. 6) last week following about a month off. The fact that this achievement came in December, when many carol albums chart, is especially encouraging.
'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' also ranked 23rd and 17th on the Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales, which track physical album sales in the U.S., respectively. It landed at No. 5 on the World Albums chart, marking 13 consecutive weeks on the chart. Performances at year-end award shows such as the 2025 MAMA Awards (hereafter 2025 MAMA) and the Asia Artist Awards 2025 (hereafter AAA 2025) appear to have driven new fandom inflows and boosted its long-term success.
Not only on Billboard, but the daily combined plays of 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' on global audio and music streaming platform Spotify surged by nearly 25% in December. The team's monthly listeners (listeners over the past 28 days) remained around 6 million during November, but surpassed 7 million the day after the 2025 MAMA broadcast (Nov. 30). As of the latest data (Dec. 8), it has exceeded 7.41 million and continues an upward trajectory.
Meanwhile, CORTIS won 'best new artist' at the 2025 MAMA and took home 'AAA rookie of the year' and 'AAA best performance' at AAA 2025, earning two crowns. They will consecutively appear on year-end broadcasts and award stages, including KBS2's 2025 MUSIC BANK global festival in Japan on the 14th, SBS's 2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon on the 25th, and the 40th Golden Disc Awards on Jan. 10 next year.
