Comedian Park Na-rae has been embroiled in the so-called "injection auntie" controversy, and remarks made in the past by her close friend Lee Si-eon have once again become a hot topic.
In an October video released on Lee Si-eon's YouTube channel "Si-eon's cool" titled "I'm sorry, Narae.. why Lee Si-eon apologized to Park Na-rae?", Lee Si-eon mentioned Park Na-rae's health condition and showed a worried look.
Before Park Na-rae arrived home, he said, "Kian said he heard that Narae has been very tired lately, and watching I Live Alone I saw IV marks on her arm," drawing attention. He went on to say, "She said she's under a lot of stress, so I prepared a care space for Narae," and the video showed him preparing a meal with his wife, Seo Ji-seung.
At the time, the remarks were taken as simple health concerns, but they have recently drawn renewed attention as allegations related to Park Na-rae have surfaced.
There are other past scenes related to Park Na-rae.
A December 13 clip from last year on MBC's official YouTube channel for I Live Alone featuring a kimchi-making episode with Jung Jae-hyung was recently set to private.
In the video, after eight hours of making kimchi, Jung Jae-hyung joked, "My posture is crooked. Did you see my leg shaking? When I book an IV for tomorrow, should I book one for myself too?" and Park Na-rae replied, "Oppa, let's book IVs together."
The scene passed without much significance when it aired, but the "injection auntie" allegation surrounding Park Na-rae resurfaced it after a year. After the video was set to private, some even speculated, "Isn't Jung Jae-hyung involved?" regarding which Jung Jae-hyung's side immediately drew a line and denied any connection.
Park Na-rae is currently accused of receiving illegal medical procedures from a person known as A, who is being called the "injection auntie." Her agency responded, "This is not illegal medical practice," explaining, "A doctor and nurse from the hospital she normally visits provided medical services in a house-call format, and it was carried out within the scope of the Medical Service Act."
However, a complaint has already been filed with the Gangnam Police Station via the national petition system alleging violations including the narcotics control law (psychotropic), violation of the Medical Service Act, and violation of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, accusing Park Na-rae and A. The police are checking the relevant facts.
