'Group MBLAQ alumnus Thunder, after long deliberation, established his own label and stood at the starting line of a new musical life. At the decision a year after marriage, his wife Mimi showed more steadfast support than anyone, showing the traits of the 'queen of support' and drawing attention.
On the 9th, Thunder posted on his social media, "Although late, today I announce my new start," and released a long post he wrote himself. He recalled that since debuting in 2009 as a member of MBLAQ, he continued various challenges including team activities, solo work and acting, and that it has already been 16 years since his debut.
Thunder candidly revealed his identity struggles from his idol days. He said, "I think the me within the name 'idol' was a 'me that was not myself,'" and added, "I pondered for a long time to shed that image. Regardless of success and numbers, I kept writing and releasing songs and have been on a journey to find myself."
The end of that journey was independence. Thunder said, "In June of this year, I established 'MOOVE LABEL' to fully contain my thoughts," and said, "Standing on the culture of hip-hop, I now want to hustle properly with my real music, not a dressed-up image. Please watch my future steps."
In response to this post, his wife Mimi immediately left a comment saying, "Thunder, fighting! Move Label, fighting!" expressing her affection.

In May last year, he married actress Mimi, formerly of Gugudan, after four years of dating and received many congratulations.
