The agency of Winter of the group aespa will take a hard-line response against online malicious commenters.
Winter's agency SM Entertainment issued an official statement on the 10th, saying, "We have identified numerous malicious posts and sexually harassing posts intended solely to slander the artist, and after reviewing the posts, we plan to expand legal complaints in stages."
SM Entertainment said it recently found a large number of posts defaming Winter's character and reputation, as well as sexually harassing posts, particularly on platforms such as DC Inside, Women's Generation, Nate Pann, Instiz, TheQoo, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube.
SM Entertainment said, "We are also pursuing criminal complaints and civil claims against those who created malicious posts related to aespa on the above-mentioned platforms," adding, "We plan to respond strongly without leniency, so please be careful not to become involved in any unsavory matters."
Meanwhile, Winter was recently swept up in dating rumors with BTS member Jungkook. Online communities speculated they were dating, citing that the two recently got matching dog tattoos and wore similar in-ear monitors and hats.
