Kim Min-seol, who appeared on Single's Inferno, makes her debut as a lead actress in "The First Man."
MBC held a production presentation for its new daily drama "The First Man" (writer Seo Hyun-ju, director Kang Tae-heum) on the morning of the 10th at its office in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Present at the event were the drama's lead actors Ham Eun-jung, Yoon Sun-woo, Oh Hyun-kyung, Park Geon-il, Kim Min-seol, Jung Chan, Lee Jae-hwang and director Kang Tae-heum, and under the hosting of announcer Seo In they discussed "The First Man."
"The First Man" is a drama that depicts a deadly duel between a woman who lived another person's life for revenge and a woman who stole another person's life for her own desire. Writer Seo Hyun-ju, who was loved for "Shining Romance" and "The Best Lover," presents another installment in her numbered series following "The Second Husband" and "The Third Marriage."
Among them, Kim Min-seol debuts as a lead playing Jin Hong-ju, a woman who loves Kang Baek-ho. He, who became known for his candid and bold actions on the Netflix variety show Single's Inferno, has transformed from an announcer into an actor.
He said, "If there is a commonality between Single's Inferno 4 and now, it is that I did my best at every moment. As with Single's Inferno, I am doing my best in every moment of filming on "The First Man," coordinating with my seniors. I am learning a lot through the seniors' acting, so I think that is a similarity between the two programs."
Kim Min-seol smiled and said, "This is my first lead role and also my first production presentation, so I am very nervous. Simply being part of this project is truly a great honor for me. If I can make viewers remember the name actress Kim Min-seol, that would be a sufficient honor."
"The First Man" is scheduled to premiere on Monday the 15th at 7:05 p.m., succeeding the currently airing "The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun."
