Singer Younha donated a scholarship to support undergraduate students majoring in basic science.
On the 10th, Younha's agency C9 Entertainment said Younha visited the Korea Student Aid Foundation Seoul office in Jung District, central Seoul, the day before and delivered a 100 million won scholarship.
The scholarship will be used to support outstanding undergraduates majoring in physics and astronomy. The Korea Student Aid Foundation will select 20 students each semester and provide a 2.5 million won scholarship per person.
Younha has consistently shown interest in space and science. She has also released songs that use astronomical concepts as themes, such as "Event Horizon" and "Oort Cloud."
Younha said, "I wanted to share the love I received from fans with future scientists," and added, "I hope students studying physics and astronomy can focus on their studies without financial worries."
