tvN's new variety show "Chaga-ne" has confirmed its first broadcast on Jan. 8, 2026, with Cha Seung-won, Choo Sung Hoon, Tommy, DinDin and Danny Goo.
The tvN real "gangsta" sitcom Chaga-ne (directed by Yang Jung-woo, Lee Jeong-won, Lee Ji-sook, Jeon Hye-rim), which premieres on Jan. 8 next year, follows the journey of the hottest men of 2025 as they travel across Asia to seek out new and diverse spicy flavors such as spicy ramen and tteokbokki, at a time when so-called "K-spicy" tastes are sweeping the world. Cha Seung-won, Choo Sung Hoon, Tommy, DinDin and Danny Goo have been named to the cast lineup.
In particular, Chaga-ne plans to deliver fresh and unique entertainment through its bold format as a "real gangsta sitcom." The gangsta family Chaga-ne, armed with spicy banter and cooking skills, sets out on a journey to find a new "spicy" taste they have never experienced before.
The "hot" mix of cast members including Cha Seung-won, Choo Sung Hoon, Tommy, DinDin and Danny Goo is also raising expectations. Actor Cha Seung-won debuted as a model and has shown a wide acting spectrum from villains to comedy in various dramas and films. Fighter and television personality Choo Sung Hoon is active across a variety of entertainment genres and YouTube amid his "Nth prime," and he is loved by the nickname "Ajossi." His YouTube channel, which is approaching 2 million subscribers, has exploded in popularity to the point of earning him the title of Korea's most popular creator in 2025, and his restaurant introductions and mukbang content have also become hot topics. In particular, his friendship and chemistry with Cha Seung-won, whom he first met on the drama Athena: Goddess of War, is expected to be revealed on broadcast for the first time after about 15 years, heightening expectations.
The addition of DinDin, who showed a distinctive perspective on restaurants along with outspoken remarks, also raises expectations.
