Group VVUP's global popularity has spread from Latin America and the Middle East to Europe.
VVUP (Kim, Paen, Suyeon, Jiyoon) ranked its mini album 1st EP "VVON" title track "Super Model" (No. 28) and the previously released songs "4 Life" (No. 26) and "Giddy Boy" (No. 27) on the France iTunes K-pop chart on the 7th (local time), enjoying powerful global popularity.
This achievement is even more encouraging because it came at the point when promotions for the mini album 1st EP "VVON" had ended. In particular, VVUP previously entered a total of five songs on the Mexico K-pop chart, achieving a "lineup" and showing that it is solidifying its position as a steady seller amid a steep rise.
VVUP's global popularity was already foreseeable. "VVON" topped the Indonesia and Thailand iTunes R&B/soul charts immediately after release and settled in the upper ranks of the Brazil and Portugal Apple Music K-pop charts. The title track "Super Model" also reached the top of the Qatar Apple Music chart, while the music video views are approaching 14 million.
Riding that popularity, VVUP also rose to No. 1 on the hot stage with the new song "Super Model" on SBS' Inkigayo on the 7th. The hot stage is an award given to the team that delivered the most impressive performance, and because rankings are decided 100% by fan votes, it once again demonstrated VVUP's growth.
VVUP's mini album 1st EP "VVON" is a title born from the combination of the three words "VIVID," "VISION" and "ON," meaning "the moment the light turns on." Phonetically it connects to "Born," and in spelling to "Won," and through this VVUP portrayed a narrative of being born, awakening and prevailing. Through "VVON," which announced successful rebranding across music, performance and visuals, VVUP expanded its presence around the world, from Asia to Latin America, the Middle East and Europe, making its future activities all the more anticipated.
