Singer and actress Kim Sejeong made a glamorous comeback to the music scene with her first single album "Solar System."
Kim Sejeong announced the new release and hinted at the start of a new phase in her music activities through a comeback poster and a Moving poster released on the 8th. This single is the first release under Kim Sejeong's name in about 2 years and 3 months since her full-length album 1 "Moon (門)", released in September 2023.
The released comeback poster blends natural light with classic interior design to create a calm atmosphere. A faintly visible silhouette further emphasizes an elegant mood, heightening curiosity about the sensibility and narrative Kim Sejeong will convey through this new release.
In the Moving poster released together, scenes are staged in a classic space, beginning with a back view and slowly turning around, further raising expectations for the single album "Solar System."
Kim Sejeong began full-fledged music activities as a solo artist in 2016 with "Flower Road." She immediately made her presence known by hitting number one on various music charts upon release, and she continually expanded her musical color by participating in songwriting and composing on mini album 1 "Pot," the digital single "Whale," and mini album 2 "I'm." On full-length album 1 "Moon (門)", she participated in writing the lyrics for all songs, further solidifying Kim Sejeong's unique musical narrative.
Kim Sejeong also has shown a wide emotional range and musical spectrum through various drama OSTs, starting with the 2017 drama OST "If by Chance" for "The Legend of the Blue Sea," then "Reunion (再會)" for The Uncanny Counter seasons 1 and 2, "Again Like That," the "Crash Landing on You" OST "All of My Days," and most recently the "Brewing Love" OST "Two People."
Meanwhile, Kim Sejeong is portraying Park Dal-i, a bereaved daughter, in the currently popular MBC Friday-Saturday drama Moon River, delivering a wide range from gritty resilience to warm humanity and earning praise as a "historical drama fairy." Also, to mark her 10th anniversary since debut, she will hold a fan concert tour titled "2026 KIM SEJEONG FAN CONCERT: The 10th Letter," starting in Seoul in January next year and visiting a total of eight global cities.
