Comedian Park Na-rae has suspended her activities amid allegations of manager power harassment and illegal medical procedures, and now a new exposé-style comment has appeared regarding the "outdoor bath installation" scene she showed on a past broadcast.
Recently an internet user A commented on a YouTube video related to Park Na-rae, saying, "1~2 years ago on I Live Alone there was an episode in which Park Na-rae decorated her house by herself. It was a scene setting up a hinoki outdoor bath in the yard, but on TV it looked like she did it all by herself," the comment began.
A continued, "That was installed for free by asking a company. They demanded it be done in just 1~2 days, so the employees worked through the night," and claimed, "But Park Na-rae did not even say thank you to the hard-working employees or offer them a drink."
He added, "On the show it was produced to look like she decorated it with difficulty herself. At the time I thought 'that's really something,'" and linked the remark to the current controversy to raise suspicions.
Online, the 2023 I Live Alone episode that revealed the outdoor bath on the show is being recalled. At the time Park Na-rae showed the completion of the outdoor tub, saying, "this year Narae's birthday present to Narae," while fixing bamboo personally and installing the water connection, which drew a strong reaction. However, A's comment has not been fact-checked.
Meanwhile, Park Na-rae has become the focus of controversy amid overlapping allegations raised by former managers of power harassment, verbal abuse, special injury and unpaid work expenses, and allegations of illegal medical procedures and proxy prescriptions through the so-called "injection aunt."
Former managers took legal action saying, "Private errands outside of work and repeated verbal abuse occurred," and Park Na-rae issued an official statement on social media saying, "Everything is my fault," and, "I will suspend activities until the controversy is resolved."
Medical organizations have raised concerns about the "injection aunt" controversy, saying, "Even if there is a foreign medical license, medical practice in Korea is illegal."
