'Best friends to-cumentary – four-person dining table' singer and actor Lee Jin-hyuk confessed that he suffered from a congenital heart valve defect and underwent major surgery immediately after birth.
On the 8th episode aired, Channel A 'Best friends to-cumentary – four-person dining table' featured announcer Lee Geum-hee, and she invited her close friends writer Park Sang-young and singer and actor Lee Jin-hyuk to her space and set a special table.
Park Kyung-rim cautiously mentioned to Lee Jin-hyuk, "And as far as I know, Jin-hyuk was sick, congenitally," to which Lee Jin-hyuk revealed that he was born with an abnormality in a heart valve and had heart surgery right after birth.
Lee Jin-hyuk confessed that because of this medical history he felt physically lacking compared with others as he grew up. He especially said the pain was greater while going through the intense life of an idol trainee.
He recalled, "Other friends endured well but I would collapse and fall down," reflecting on past frequent frustrations due to physical limits. But Lee Jin-hyuk said he did not give up in order to overcome his congenital weakness and explained that "as a result of practicing more tenaciously" his stamina has improved now, showing strong will.
