Actress Lee Yu-bi will serve as an awards ceremony host at a film festival for the first time since her debut.
Lee Yu-bi will co-host the 2025 Seoul International Film Awards ceremony at 5 p.m. on the 10th at the Halla Hall of Dragon City Hotel in Yongsan, Seoul, sharing MC duties with singer and actor Kim Dong-wan.
Beginning in 2012 as "Star's Night – Korea Top Stars Awards," this awards ceremony, now in its 13th year, honors films released and works aired on OTT platforms from Aug. 2024 through Nov. 2025, celebrating filmmakers with awards selected through a fair and rigorous judging process and serving as a definitive year-end festival for those in the film industry.
Having hosted numerous awards ceremonies and many talk shows, Lee Yu-bi is expected to demonstrate steady hosting skills at this film festival as well.
Lee Yu-bi made a strong impression with a variety of characters in many works such as the drama Yumi's Cells 1 and 2, the seven-person series The Escape of the Seven: War for Survival, and The Resurrection of the Seven. In particular, for the seven-person series she won the excellence in acting award at the SBS Drama Awards two years in a row, earning recognition for her acting ability.
Meanwhile, Lee Yu-bi has solidified her position as an actress by winning the acting category at the 14th People Who Brightened Korea Awards ceremony and at YKA FESTA 2025, and she plans to meet viewers next year through active work projects.
The 2025 Seoul International Film Awards 2025, hosted by Lee Yu-bi, will take place at 5 p.m. on the 10th.<
