The thieves who stole actor Jeon Hye-bin's card in Bali, Indonesia, were caught by local investigators.
According to the entertainment industry on the 9th, Jeon Hye-bin posted a screenshot of local media coverage on her social media (SNS) account, saying, "I heard that the credit card thieves in Bali were arrested."
Jeon Hye-bin added, "I offer respect and thanks to the Bali police officers who worked hard, and I have grown even fonder of beautiful Bali, Indonesia."
According to Jeon Hye-bin, she traveled to Bali in Oct. to celebrate her son's birthday and had her card stolen in downtown Ubud. She also said 15 million won was charged within 10 minutes of the loss.
Local media reported that the group who stole Jeon Hye-bin's card numbered about 10 and held Indonesian, Chinese and Mongolian nationalities. They allegedly used the stolen credit cards to transfer money to overseas accounts.
According to the report, the Indonesian served as the EDC device provider handling noncash transactions, the Chinese recruited members of the criminal group, and the Mongolian stole bags and credit cards.
In addition, it was reported that five foreign nationals, including Jeon Hye-bin, from Korea and China were victimized by the group.
