The soundtrack "Golden" from "K-pop Demon Hunters," produced by The Black Label production team, is vying for a Golden Globe.
On the 8th (local time), the Golden Globe Association released the nominees for the 83rd Golden Globe Awards (GOLDEN GLOBES AWARDS, hereinafter "Golden Globes"), and the soundtrack "Golden" from Netflix's animated film "K-pop Demon Hunters" was included.
"Golden" is the main theme performed by the fictional girl group Huntrix in the film, decorating the highlight scene where they achieve their goal, and together with the film's global success it dominated domestic and international music charts, captivating global listeners. Notably, on Billboard's main chart the HOT 100, the OST very unusually held the No. 1 spot for eight weeks.
Centered on The Black Label's head Teddy (TEDDY), producers who led K-pop's trends such as IDO and 24 participated in composing and arranging "Golden," which further raised K-pop's stature. The Black Label production team also produced other soundtracks for "K-pop Demon Hunters," including "How It's Done," "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol," helping drive the film's success and contributing to the global leap of K-content beyond K-pop.
At the Golden Globes, held on Jan. 11, 2026, attention will be on whether "Golden," nominated for best original song (Best Original Song, Motion Picture), can win the honor.
