2025 KBS 2TV one-act project 'Love : Track' opens with a splash with 'Onion soup after work' and 'First love is wired earphones.'
Onion soup after work, scheduled to air Sunday the 14th at 10:50 p.m. (directed by Lee Young-seo, written by Lee Seon-hwa), is a work about a man trying to find out why the onion soup at his regular restaurant, the only comfort in his weary life, was erased from the menu and the push-and-pull between him and the chef who removed the onion soup from the menu.
Park Mu-an (Lee Dong-hwi) finds great comfort after work by eating the onion soup made by Han Da-jeong (Bang Hyo-rin). But one day, when the onion soup disappears from the menu, he is so shocked that he cannot sleep. The push-and-pull between Mu-an, who asks for the reason, and Chef Han Da-jeong (Bang Hyo-rin), who does not give an easy answer, will add to the work's appeal.
The production team of 'Onion soup after work' said the viewing points are, "This work is a slice-of-life empathetic fantasy drama about a presence like 'onion soup' that comforts exhausted reality," adding, "We wanted to convey that what gives people the will to live is not something grand but can be found in delicious food and a warm word from someone."
Also scheduled to air the same day, 'First love is wired earphones' (directed by Jeong Gwang-su, written by Jeong Hyo) is a work that tells the story of a third-year high school girl who has always been the top of her class in 2010 meeting a delinquent(?) boy and confronting her dreams and love.
Han Yeong-seo (Han Ji-hyun), the student who is everyone's expected top of the class, actually finds that attention overwhelming. By chance, Gi Hyeon-ha (Ong Seong-woo) learns Yeong-seo's secret and, more sincerely than anyone else, supports her dreams, and the two gradually develop special feelings. This first love, which begins with 100 days left until the college entrance exam, stirs the viewers' emotions as to what ending it will meet.
Director Jeong Gwang-su, who directed 'First love is wired earphones,' said, "It's not simply a first-love story but our story remembering first love. I wanted to find a point of contact that everyone can relate to the question, 'What did that love leave me?'"
'Onion soup after work,' featuring the special push-and-pull of Lee Dong-hwi and Bang Hyo-rin, and 'First love is wired earphones,' evoking the nostalgia of awkward first love with Ong Seong-woo and Han Ji-hyun, will air on Dec. 14 (Sun.) at 10:50 p.m.
