Actor Hwang Shin-hye expressed pride in her younger sibling, Hwang Jeong-eon, a mouth-and-foot painter, and gratitude to her sister-in-law who stood by him.
Hwang Shin-hye recently posted on her social media, "My younger sibling whom I admire and am so proud of, no, my one and only sister-in-law Seong-sook whom I respect even more than my sibling," conveying her feelings toward her younger sibling, artist Hwang Jeong-eon, and his spouse.
The released photos showed artist Hwang Jeong-eon holding a brush in his mouth as he completed a detailed still life painting, and recent scenes of him sitting with a bright smile. She also shared an interview article with the artist. The artist was diagnosed with full-body paralysis after a traffic accident 30 years ago but did not give up and has walked the path of a "mouth-and-foot painter," using his mouth to hold the brush.
Hwang Shin-hye also mentioned the devotion of the spouse who has stayed by the artist's side for 27 years. She said, "It was possible because they were always there beside my sibling. Unless they were an angel, they could not do this, so I live with a heart full of gratitude," and added, "I want to brag about my wonderful sibling and their spouse."
Fans who saw the social media post sent messages of support such as, "Their lives themselves are art," "The love and will of the two are so beautiful," and "I was surprised by the level of completion of the paintings."
