Contrary to broadcaster Park Na-rae's claim that she "cleared up the misunderstanding" over the conflict with her former managers, the former managers rebutted that there was no agreement or apology and that the complaint procedures proceeded as scheduled.
Earlier, Park Na-rae, who has been embroiled in various allegations including manager bullying, embezzlement of funds and illegal medical procedures, yesterday on the 8th announced a suspension of broadcasting activities and said "I met directly with my former managers and cleared up misunderstandings and distrust." Park Na-rae's side indicated the conflict had been resolved through dialogue. In fact, a representative of Park Na-rae's agency was reported to have said, "We resolved the emotional issues with each other," and added that "the complaint, accusation and provisional seizure should also be canceled."
However, according to Channel A's report, the position of the former managers who sued Park Na-rae was completely different. The former manager said, "It is true that I talked with Ms. Park for about three hours early yesterday morning, but I did not receive an apology and no agreement was reached." The former managers claimed, "We had endured for more than a month, but when we said we could no longer do so, Ms. Park said, 'Then let's sue.'"
They went on to say, "I was appalled to see the content in the statement saying 'cleared up the misunderstanding,'" and "It felt like the meeting was intended to prepare a statement." They also added, "It appears to be an attempt to drag out the time to change public opinion." Channel A requested an additional statement from Park Na-rae's agency regarding these claims by the former managers, but reportedly did not receive a separate response.
Meanwhile, the police said a complaint filed by the former managers accusing Park Na-rae of special injury and defamation by false statements was received the previous day. Despite Park Na-rae's announcement of a suspension of activities, the legal dispute appears to have entered a full investigative stage.<
