(following interview ②) Lee Su-ji and Jeong I-rang of "Sister Cafe" drew a sharp line at contact from Kim Won-hoon, another close friend from "SNL Korea," sparking laughter.
Comedians Lee Su-ji and Jeong I-rang held a joint interview on the morning of the 9th at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. At the event they spoke with domestic reporters about the Coupang Play variety show "Sister Cafe."
"Sister Cafe" is a tea-room talk show in which sisters Su-ji and I-rang add a spoonful of chatter and two spoons of romance to enjoy time with top star guests. The show, newly presented by Jeong I-rang and Lee Su-ji—who earned praise for successive appearances on "SNL Korea" and "Office Workers"—is drawing laughs.
Might there be people who directly express they want to appear? Jeong I-rang said, "I am very thankful that there are people who say they will come. How grateful we are. We are fine with anyone; we like people who are hot right now, and we also want to call on people who were once hot and whom we wonder what they are doing now. I want to hear about their lives. Before, I would go out for a week to show who this person is and have fun, but now there are reasons they want to come and things they want to talk about, so I go intending to study more and listen to their stories. It's really so much fun," she said.
Could Kim Won-hoon, a close crew member who worked closely with Lee Su-ji and Jeong I-rang on "SNL Korea" and "Office Workers," also appear? On this, Lee Su-ji confessed, "Kim Won-hoon said he might be able to come to 'Sister Cafe.'" However, she added, "I hope he doesn't come," drawing laughter. Lee Su-ji went on to explain, smiling, "We have to open up to guests, but I think Kim Won-hoon would retaliate. Even if he comes, I hope he comes when we are closing," explaining why she rejected Kim Won-hoon's self-invite.
She added, "Kim Gyu-won is working part-time with us and prepares a lot. It still seems less visible. I hope that if we have more episodes, Gyu-won will have many chances to show her strengths," she said, adding warmth.
