'Dynamite Kiss' Namkoong Min and Kim Ji-eun appear as special cameos.
SBS midweek drama 'Dynamite Kiss' (written by Ha Yoon-ah and Tae Kyung-min, directed by Kim Jae-hyun and Kim Hyun-woo) swept domestic and international box office indicators. On Dec. 4, the eighth episode of 'Dynamite Kiss' recorded a metropolitan area rating of 7.1% average and a peak of 8.5%, setting a new personal best. That rating corresponds to first place among all channels in the same time slot and first among weekday dramas across all channels. It also rose to No. 1 on Netflix global (non-English) for Nov. 24–Nov. 30.
Meanwhile, on the 9th the identity of the special cameos set to fuel 'Dynamite Kiss''s hit run was revealed. The stars are Namkoong Min and Kim Ji-eun, who achieved rating success on SBS' One Dollar Lawyer along with director Kim Jae-hyun, who directed 'Dynamite Kiss'. Just being able to see the two familiar faces on the same screen raises expectations not only among 'Dynamite Kiss' viewers but also among passionate fans of One Dollar Lawyer.
The photos released by the 'Dynamite Kiss' production team capture a scene from episode nine, which will air on the 10th. The photos show Namkoong Min and Kim Ji-eun, who still boast perfect chemistry. They sit side by side having a serious conversation, Namkoong Min leans in whispering to Kim Ji-eun, Namkoong Min strikes an exaggerated pose gazing into the distance while Kim Ji-eun flashes a thumbs-up. Each cut drips with the two actors' supreme chemistry.
Namkoong Min and Kim Ji-eun's cameo appearances in 'Dynamite Kiss' came about through their connection with director Kim Jae-hyun, who worked with them on One Dollar Lawyer. Accordingly, in 'Dynamite Kiss' the two will appear as the One Dollar Lawyer characters Cheon Ji-hoon and Baek Ma-ri. Who in 'Dynamite Kiss' will meet Cheon Ji-hoon and Baek Ma-ri? With what episode will they captivate viewers?
