Singer DinDin once again drew laughs on 2 Days & 1 Night with a "fact bomb" remark. He caught attention by joking that fees should be lowered for Cho Sae-ho, who has recently been embroiled in allegations of ties to organized crime.
On the 7th broadcast of KBS 2TV 2 Days & 1 Night season 4, Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, Cho Sae-ho, Lee Joon, DinDin and Yoo Seon-ho were shown heading to Andong, North Gyeongsang, for a trip.
On the broadcast, youngest member Yoo Seon-ho watched the Moon Se-yoon and Cho Sae-ho duo closely. It was revealed that the two had arrived in Andong the day before the recording and enjoyed the trip in advance. The members playfully criticized them, saying, "This isn't 2 Days & 1 Night, it's 3 Days & 2 Nights," and "This isn't a variety show, it's a friendship trip!"
Eventually DinDin delivered a cutting line that set everyone off laughing, saying, "At this rate, their fees for 2 Days & 1 Night should be lowered." He added the joke, "This isn't filming, it's just a trip," and Yoo Seon-ho chimed in, "They even took photos."
Moon Se-yoon and Cho Sae-ho smiled sheepishly, and Cho Sae-ho explained, "We only took pictures as a memento," but the released two-shot plainly captured the two of them smiling brightly in a "friendship trip" photo, which provoked laughter.
Coincidentally, Cho Sae-ho has recently been at the center of allegations of ties to organized crime. A netizen using the nickname "Pyo Gamsa" claimed on social media that "Cho Sae-ho is close friends with Mr. Choi, a key figure in the largest violent organization in the Geochang area, and is involved in collusion related to illegal gambling and money laundering." The user sparked controversy by releasing a photo of Cho Sae-ho embracing Mr. Choi.
In response, Cho Sae-ho's agency A2Z Entertainment said, "The claim is groundless; he is merely an acquaintance met at an event," and denied any paid gifts or inappropriate relationship. However, past photos spreading online have left public sentiment still cold.
The user "Pyo Gamsa" later deleted the exposé post but left a remark suggesting "there was outside pressure," which further fueled the controversy.
Meanwhile, DinDin referenced the "friendship trip" photos and delivered a cheerful fact bomb aimed at Cho Sae-ho. His witty remark set the studio laughing, and some viewers took it as a timely joke and subtle satire.
DinDin previously drew attention on the variety show Workman by boldly saying, "Celebrities have no monetary value." With another remark aimed at Cho Sae-ho this time, he once again proved himself to be an "icon of candid talk."
