Actor Cha Tae-hyun lifted the 'no mention' ban on his son Su-chan. His markedly changed condition immediately after the college entrance exam drew laughs.
On the 7th, Cha Tae-hyun appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel program "Yeojeong Jaehyung" that was released.
Cha Tae-hyun said he had been walking on thin ice because his eldest son Su-chan, a third-year high school student, recently sat for the College Scholastic Ability Test. Because of that, he was cautious about appearing on "Yeojeong Jaehyung." Jeong Jae-hyung explained the reason, saying, "I told him to have a meal, and Su-chan said let's meet after it's over."
Then Cha Tae-hyun laughed and said, "Now I can boldly call him by his name, 'him (my son Su-chan).' Now that the exam is over." He expressed surprise, saying, "It's so strange. Regardless of the test results, as soon as the exam ended, of course it doesn't seem like he did very well. But the person has completely changed."
He laughed, saying, "He talks a lot now, his expressions have changed, he's completely different to the point of being bewildering," and added, "My two daughters were both surprised. They said, 'Oppa is speaking.' People used to say, 'When you turn 20 you inevitably change,' but that's not true. He changed once the exam ended."
In fact, Cha Tae-hyun recently attracted attention for being cautious even about mentioning his son Su-chan. Not only on "Yeojeong Jaehyung," but on another YouTube content hosted by broadcaster Yoo Jae-seok, "Pinggego," he drew laughs by trying not to even mention his name, saying, "He (Su-chan) is going to academy right now. His mother is going with him."
In this regard, Jeong Jae-hyung worried, saying, "He used to be a bright kid, but weren't you being too careful?" Cha Tae-hyun himself added to the surprise by saying, "No. It's the first time in six years I've seen Su-chan smile."
Cha Tae-hyun laughed, saying, "These days Su-chan keeps coming out of his room and going back and forth. Then our youngest daughter says, 'Oppa keeps coming out,' and doesn't know what to do. It's really funny."
Meanwhile, Cha Tae-hyun also revealed that he recently transformed into a "agency CEO." After founding the entertainment agency Basecamp Company with close friend actor Jo In-sung, Cha Tae-hyun is operating the agency as an affiliated actor and its representative.
Cha Tae-hyun modestly said, "There's In-sung, me, Jin Ki-joo and Im Joo-hwan, so the four of us. With four managers and four actors, we don't plan to grow further. That's it. We just did it among ourselves. It feels like we're earning money to pay the kids' salaries."
However, he laughed and said, "Since I became the representative, the problem is that calls come from here and there. When I pick up, more than two-thirds ask about In-sung's schedule," adding, "They ask about In-sung's schedule, In-sung's feelings and In-sung's condition. And someone who's close to me met me and asked about In-sung." He added with a laugh, "I have to refuse on behalf of him here. I go around refusing.
