The fictional band KESSOKUBAND from the Japanese anime "Bocchi the Rock!" held its first overseas solo concert in Korea, meeting domestic fans with great enthusiasm.
On the 6th at KINTEX Hall 9 in Goyang, "KESSOKUBAND LIVE in KOREA 「From Shimokitazawa」 (Kessoku Band Live in Korea 「From Shimokitazawa」)" was Kessoku Band's first solo visit to Korea, and its popularity was proven as fierce ticket competition broke out as soon as tickets went on sale.
That day Kessoku Band delivered an overwhelming live performance centered on signature songs such as "春コンプレックス (Seishun Complex)", "ギタと孤と蒼い惑星 (Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet)", and "カラカラ (Karakara)". Each song fully conveyed the band's unique sound and emotional line, filling the venue with an atmosphere of rapture.
For the encore they performed "がる岩、君に朝が降る (Rock'n'Roll, Morning Light Falls on You)", bringing the excitement to a peak. The energetic band sound and stage production combined to create moments of unity with the audience, and fans responded with thunderous applause and cheers.
After the performance, Kessoku Band expressed heartfelt impressions, moved by the passion of Korean fans. Suzushiro Sayumi, who plays Ijichi Nijika, said, "Your enthusiasm was truly beyond imagination, and I actually gained courage from it."
Mizuno Saku, who plays Yamada Ryo, added, "I was really happy that the four of us could come to Korea and enjoy the live show with you." Hasegawa Ikumi, who plays Kita Ikuyo, said, "Korean fans' energy was so intense that I poured out all my energy so I wouldn't lose." Finally, Aoyama Yoshino, who plays Goto Hitori, said, "I want to achieve new dreams together with everyone again."
Kessoku Band made a big hit with the album "結束バンド (Kessoku Band)" released in December 2022, topping Oricon's annual digital album ranking by revenue in the institutional sector in 2023 and taking first place on Billboard Japan's annual download album chart.
After that, starting with a solo show at Zepp Haneda in Tokyo, they successfully held the five-city Japan tour "We will", the first arena solo concert "We will B" and others. Through appearances at various festivals and on broadcasts, they have expanded their global fandom, and their momentum has grown further with the recent confirmation of a second season of the anime.
Having successfully completed their first visit to Korea, Kessoku Band plans to continue active communication with fans in Korea and around the world through various musical activities and live stages.
