Actor Cha Seowon transforms into an elite lawyer in "Spring Fever."
The new tvN Mon-Tue drama "Spring Fever," directed by Park Won-guk, written by Kim A-jung, planned by CJ ENM STUDIOS and produced by Bon Factory, which is scheduled to premiere Jan. 5, 2026, is a hot pink romance of spring days that will melt the frozen hearts of teacher Yoon Bom (played by Lee Ju-bin), who faces chilling winds, and man Sun Jae-gyu (played by Ahn Bo-hyun) with a burning heart.
Cha Seowon plays the flawless elite lawyer Choi I-jun. I-jun is Jae-gyu's former close friend and now rival; outwardly he appears perfect, but his life begins to spiral again when he reunites with Jae-gyu, with whom he had a past connection.
In the first stills released today (the 8th), Cha Seowon evokes admiration with a "man-jjit-nam" visual as if stepped out of a pure romance comic. His sharp jawline, neat suit fit and a restrained, striking expression clearly convey the aura of the perfected character Choi I-jun, heightening interest.
While Cha Seowon's professional immersion as a lawyer draws attention, the I-jun he will passionately portray possesses a charm that starkly contrasts with Jae-gyu. I-jun, as a somewhat threatening "catfish man" to Jae-gyu, forms an odd tension between Yoon Bom and Jae-gyu, making the drama's love triangle even more intriguing.
Having steadily proven his presence in the melodrama genre, expectations surge for what emotional lines and chemistry Cha Seowon will display in this work and for his performance as another axis of the story's development. Cha Seowon's return, who has left strong impressions in various works, is endlessly stimulating viewers' imaginations.
Meanwhile, "Spring Fever" brings together the reliably popular actors Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Ju-bin and director Park Won-guk of "Marry My Husband," which recorded the highest ratings in tvN Mon-Tue drama history.
tvN's first romantic comedy of 2026, the new Mon-Tue drama "Spring Fever," will premiere on Jan. 5, 2026 (Mon) at 8:50 p.m.
