The group izna is gradually expanding its global activities through an interview with a major Italian media outlet.
izna (Mai, Bang Ji-min, Coco, Yoo Sa-rang, Choi Jeong-eun, Jeong Se-bi) recently gave an interview to Italy's leading weekly PANORAMA. This interview with an influential outlet that was the first in Italy to extensively cover the Korean wave made it clear that izna has been steadily growing on the global stage.
PANORAMA introduced izna as the "discovery K-pop has been waiting for." It also noted that they won Favorite Rising Artist at the 2025 MAMA AWARDS held last month and that they achieved a more mature leap with their second mini album Not Just Pretty, adding that "despite being rookies, they are a group that clearly knows the direction they aim for," expressing anticipation for izna's musical path.
In the following interview, izna members spoke about mini album 2 Not Just Pretty, which featured bold musical changes, saying, "As the album title suggests, we, izna, wanted to show that beyond the frame of being "pretty," we have different sides from previous activities through various charms. Through this album, we wanted to reveal izna's wide spectrum."
When asked what concerns and challenges izna had to overcome together as a group with each comeback, izna said, "Rather than feeling burdened by having to overcome certain difficulties, we have a strong desire to try new concepts with each comeback. We believe we continue to expand our identity through various challenges and always prepare comebacks with joy," raising expectations for izna's future growth and change.
Following their debut album N/a, SIGN, and BEEP, izna received praise for capturing the multilayered charm that cannot be defined as one through musical experiments in their recently released mini album 2 Not Just Pretty. In particular, they achieved a meaningful milestone by earning their first music show No. 1 on terrestrial television with the title track Mamma Mia and proved their global presence by surpassing 100 million cumulative streams on the world's largest music streaming platform Spotify within one year of their debut.
