Park Na-rae, criticized from allegations of manager power harassment to illegal medical practices, announced she will halt all broadcasts.
On the 8th, Park Na-rae released a statement on her personal account saying, "In early November, the two managers who lived like family suddenly resigned, and until recently we were not given the opportunity to speak with the parties involved, so misunderstandings accumulated between us."
Park Na-rae said, "With the help of many people, only yesterday was I able to meet face to face with the former manager, and while we were able to resolve the misunderstandings and distrust between us, I still think everything is my fault and I am deeply reflecting."
She continued, "As a comedian whose job is to provide laughter and joy, I decided to suspend broadcast activities until everything is cleanly resolved because I thought I could no longer be a nuisance to programs and colleagues," saying she will withdraw from all broadcasts.
Park Na-rae added, "I bow my head and deeply apologize once again to everyone who trusted and supported me."
Meanwhile, on the 3rd, Park Na-rae was served an application for provisional seizure of real estate at the Seoul Western District Court by her former managers. The former managers claimed they suffered so-called "power harassment" while working at Park Na-rae's one-person agency, including verbal abuse, special assault, proxy prescriptions, unpaid hosting fees, and being on call for personal errands. In addition, it became known, shocking the public, that Park Na-rae was accused of medical law violations for receiving proxy prescriptions and psychotropic drugs from a person known as the so-called "injection aunt," and of violating the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act for operating an unregistered one-person agency.
In response, Park Na-rae's side rebutted in a first statement on the 5th that two employees who had worked for about 1 year and 3 months demanded an additional 10% of the company's sales after resigning despite receiving proper severance pay, and when this was refused they continued unnecessary misunderstandings and pressure with claims that differed from the facts, so they decided to take legal action. They also claimed that the alleged illegal medical treatment involved a medical professional nicknamed "injection aunt" who made a home visit.
