As Park Narae announced she would suspend activities amid mounting allegations, the programs in which she appears also found themselves in trouble.
On the 8th, Park Narae opened up on her personal social media, saying, "In early November, two managers who had been like family suddenly resigned, and until recently we were not given the opportunity to talk with the parties involved, so misunderstandings accumulated between us."
Park Narae said, "With your help, only yesterday I was able to meet face to face with a former manager, and while we were able to resolve misunderstandings and distrust between us, I still believe everything is my fault and I am deeply reflecting."
She added, "As a comedian whose job is to bring laughter and joy, I decided to suspend broadcasting activities until everything is neatly resolved because I felt I could no longer cause trouble for the programs and my colleagues. I bow my head and deeply apologize once again to everyone who has trusted and supported me," saying she would step down from all broadcasts.
The programs Park Narae is currently appearing on are "Save me! Homes", I Live Alone, Amazing Saturday, and Narae-sik. Scheduled programs include Na Do Shin Na and Destiny War 49.
Shortly after Park Narae's statement, I Live Alone's side said in an official statement, "The production team has not taken this matter lightly and has been carefully conducting internal discussions, including fact-checking." The I Live Alone side said, "Considering the gravity of the matter and Park Narae's intention to suspend activities, the production team has decided to suspend Park Narae's appearance on I Live Alone," and promised, "I Live Alone will continue to do its best to deliver healthy laughter with a more responsible attitude."
Following I Live Alone, Save me! Homes also issued an official statement saying, "As Park Narae expressed her intention to step down, the production team has decided to suspend Park Narae's appearances. Already recorded pre-produced segments will be edited as much as possible."
Amazing Saturday also said, "Amazing Saturday respects Park Narae's intention to suspend broadcasting and she will not participate in recordings going forward." Amazing Saturday, which has existing recorded segments, said, "Two weeks' worth of episodes have already been recorded. The production team will do its best in postproduction," and explained they plan to proceed with maximum editing.
With programs announcing consecutive withdrawals, OSEN reported that MBC's new variety show Na Do Shin Na, which was scheduled to air in January next year, has been completely canceled. The show, which was planned as a travel variety show featuring Park Narae, Jang Doyoun, Shin Giru and Heo Anna going on an unfiltered, contextless, unrestrained trip and had attracted great interest from the planning stage, became difficult to air as the controversy grew.
Not only Na Do Shin Na, but the Narae-sik episode featuring Daesung, which was scheduled to be released on the 10th, has also been halted. Narae-sik, in which Park Narae put her name on dishes she made herself and talked with guests and which always included alcohol, seems unable to avoid cancellation.
However, some programs have not yet issued statements. Disney+'s Destiny War 49, a possessed survival show in which 49 fortune masters gather to test their fates through various missions, had finished filming and was scheduled to be released in the first half of next year.
At the 'Disney+ original preview 2025' event held recently in Hong Kong, still cuts were released and expectations were raised, but no separate statement has been made regarding Park Narae's appearance or editing.
Meanwhile, on the 3rd Park Narae was served with a real estate provisional seizure application at the Seoul Western District Court by former managers. The former managers claimed they suffered so-called "gapjil" abuses while working at Park Narae's one-person agency, including verbal abuse, special injury, proxy prescriptions, nonpayment of appearance fees, and being on constant standby for personal errands.
Starting from this, it was revealed that Park Narae had been accused of offenses such as violating the Medical Service Act by receiving proxy prescriptions and psychotropic drugs from a so-called 'injection auntie', and violating the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act for operating without registering a one-person agency, shocking the public.
In response, Park Narae's side rebutted in a first statement on the 5th that two employees who had worked for about 1 year and 3 months demanded an additional 10% of the company's sales after resigning despite receiving proper severance pay, and when this was refused they continued to cause unnecessary misunderstandings and pressure with claims that were not true, so the company decided to take legal action. They also claimed that regarding allegations of receiving illegal medical treatment, the medical professional 'injection auntie' actually made a house call.
