The group EXO (EXO, SME-affiliated) has returned with a high-quality trailer befitting the "origin of the K-pop universe."
Today (the 8th) at 12 a.m., the trailer released on EXO's official YouTube channel cinematically depicted the members, excluding Kai, confronting situations where they could not believe their own supernatural powers and regarded reality as a dream, yet, drawn by some force, ultimately gathering again before the "tree of life."
At the end of the trailer, EXO's eighth studio album title "REVERXE" was unveiled, and based on the EXO universe story that "the day when they truly become one, a new world opens," the English word meaning return, "Reverse," was reinterpreted in EXO's expression to convey the meaning "a new world opens again," heightening anticipation.
Since their debut in 2012, EXO has developed a distinctive universe story that sparked a "universe boom" in the K-pop scene, and having once again captivated global fans this September with imagery reminiscent of a total lunar eclipse, curiosity is growing about the eighth studio album "REVERXE," scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2026.
EXO will hold a fan meeting, "EXO'verse'" (EXOverse), on the 14th at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Inspire Arena in Jung-gu, Incheon, where they will not only perform hit songs including "First Snow," which is fiercely climbing the winter charts, but also premiere live stages of new songs included on the eighth studio album.
