Contemporary music singer-songwriter Song Sohee, who has pioneered her own genre, expanded her musical world as she successfully concluded a solo concert.
Song Sohee held the solo concert 2025 SONG SOHEE CONCERT : RE:5 (hereinafter "RE:5") over two days on the 6th and 7th at Nodeul Island Live House in Seoul.
"RE:5" expanded the narrative of the eponymous EP that sings the five elements (五行) onto the stage, maximizing immersion with percussion and a full band's grand sound.
Song Sohee opened the door to a distinctive performance by consecutively performing "Gureumgot journey", "A Blind Runner", and "Asurajang (Seesaw world)". In particular, Song Sohee, who appeared wearing a mask to heighten a mysterious atmosphere, intensified the excitement by removing the mask in the introduction of "A Blind Runner".
Then Song Sohee shifted the mood with "Alaska's love-hae", "Ashine! (Banjjak playground)", which are tracks from her recently released EP, as well as "Against the deep sea", "Aerial dance", and "Deer god". Song Sohee also demonstrated a wide spectrum with "Suzume (SUZUME)", a remake of the theme song of the animation Suzume no Tojimari into Korean sentiment, and "Juyagok (晝野曲)".
She also showcased her distinctive vocal color with "Not a Dream", "Eorangtaryeong + CLASSIC", "Infodemics (with Lee Il-woo from Jambinai)", and "Broken things", and offered diverse charms by encompassing spectacular choreography with "Hamba Kahle".
Finally, Song Sohee chose a carol version of "Alaska's love-hae" as the encore song to give fans a special Christmas gift. Following enthusiastic responses from fans, Song Sohee once again performed "Hamba Kahle" to cap off the concert.
"RE:5" was produced with support from CJ Cultural Foundation's Tune Up. Song Sohee met fans for the first time in about a year since the solo concert Pungnyu (風流) held last December, and under the grand theme of "the cycle and regeneration of life," she delivered vivid energy to fans that they had never experienced before.
Having started music from a young age with Gyeonggi minyo sogaero, Song Sohee has continued relentless musical 고민 and experimentation as a singer-songwriter. Through the 2022 single "Gureumgot journey : Journey to Utopia", the 2023 singles "Infodemics" and "Asurajang (Seesaw world)", the 2024 EP "Aerial dance" and single "Not a Dream", and the 2025 EP "Re:5", Song Sohee has further solidified her identity as a "contemporary music singer-songwriter."
