Singer Baekho, formerly of the group NU'EST, will fulfill his defense duties.
On the 8th, Team Baekho posted a notice regarding the fulfillment of military service obligations and announced his enlistment on the fan community platform Weverse.
That day Team Baekho said, "Baekho will enter the army training center on Dec. 29, receive basic military training, and then serve as an active-duty soldier in the army."
It added, "On the day of enlistment no separate official event will be held. In addition, because the training center entrance ceremony is an occasion attended by many service members and their families, we ask that you refrain from visiting the enlistment site," and "We would appreciate it if dOnO fans would leave your messages for Baekho on Weverse."
Team Baekho also asked, "Until the day Baekho fulfills his defense duties and returns in good health, we ask dOnO fans for warm encouragement and continued love. We will not spare our ongoing support and affection for Baekho."
Meanwhile, Baekho, born in 1995, debuted in 2012 as a member of NU'EST. He gained recognition for his face and name when he appeared on Mnet's survival audition Produce 101 season 2 in 2017, and later began solo activities in 2022.
Baekho will appear on the tvN variety program "Health Farmer," which premieres on the 21st.
