Actor Lee Jae-wook shared his thoughts on the conclusion of Last Summer, in which he played his first dual roles.
In the KBS 2TV Saturday-Sunday miniseries Last Summer (directed by Min Yeon-hong / written by Jeon Yu-ri / produced by Monster Union, Slingshot Studio), Lee Jae-wook played the twin brothers Baek Do-ha and Baek Do-young, leading the drama with reliable acting skills.
Lee Jae-wook vividly portrayed Do-ha's professional side as a genius architect and Do-young's warm presence, delivering a range of performances. In particular, he convincingly depicted the heavy emotional arc by layering Do-ha's guilt and wounds over the death of Do-young.
He also formed a romantic line with Ha-kyung (played by Choi Seong-eun), showing his knack for romantic comedy without reserve. From adversarial chemistry to sweet, perfectly timed interactions, he naturally brought out the characters' charm to the fullest.
On the occasion of Last Summer's finale, Lee Jae-wook said through his agency Logs Studio, "The time I spent as Do-ha was a special summer that I will remember for a long time. Through Do-ha I was able to grow one step further, and I was grateful to be able to share that journey with the viewers."
He added, "I will use this summer as a steppingstone to show more diverse sides of myself as actor Lee Jae-wook," raising expectations for his future activities.
