Comedian Park Narae plans to issue an additional statement regarding allegations of abusive treatment raised by former managers and allegations of illegal medical procedures received from the so-called "injection auntie."
On the night of the 7th, a representative for Park Narae told OSEN, "We are currently drafting an additional statement. We cannot confirm a specific distribution time yet, but we are preparing it now so you can see it as soon as it is completed tomorrow (the 8th). I understand there is currently no change to the filming schedule for I Live Alone planned for tomorrow," the representative said.
On the 3rd, Park Narae was served with an application for real estate provisional seizure at the Seoul Western District Court by former managers. The former managers alleged they suffered so-called abusive treatment while working at Park Narae's one-person agency, including verbal abuse, assault causing special injury, proxy prescriptions, nonpayment of hosting fees, and being on constant standby for personal errands. In addition, it was revealed that Park Narae had been accused of violating the Medical Service Act and the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act for operating an unregistered one-person agency, which caused shock.
However, in a first statement on the 5th, Park Narae's side refuted the claims, saying two employees who had worked for about a year and three months demanded 10% of the company's sales in addition to receiving proper severance pay after leaving, and when that was refused they continued unnecessary misunderstandings and pressure with claims that differed from the facts, prompting the decision to take legal action. Regarding allegations of receiving illegal medical procedures, they also asserted that medical personnel, including the so-called "injection auntie" who holds a physician's license, made house calls.
Meanwhile, Park Narae appeared without edits in the broadcasts of MBC's I Live Alone, MBC's Save Me, Holmes (literal translation: "Save me! Homes"), and tvN's Amazing Saturday from the 3rd to the 6th. However, unlike those previously filmed segments, a VCR studio recording for I Live Alone is scheduled for the 8th, and attention has focused on whether Park Narae will attend. All eyes are on Park Narae's attendance at the I Live Alone recording and the additional statement.
