'Dokbak Tour 4' Kim Jun-ho and Hong In-kyu brought big laughs by rediscovering their original spirit(?) through a one-on-one 'dokbak competition' in Hanoi.
In the 28th episode of Channel S' Ni Don Nae San Dokbak Tour 4' aired on the 6th, Kim Dae-hee x Kim Jun-ho x Jang Dong-min x Yoo Se-yoon x Hong In-kyu, who left for Hanoi, Vietnam, were shown starting a tour from the tourist attraction 'Old Quarter' to the 'train-track village'.
Earlier, the 'Dokbakz', who had been to Qingdao, China, thought of Vietnam, saying, "We went to a cold country, so let's go to a warm country now." Jang Dong-min said, "There is a city called 'Ninh Binh' in Hanoi, Vietnam, which is famous for 'prayer power(?)'. Jun-ho hyung, if you pray for children there, we can see our niece or nephew soon," which tempted Kim Jun-ho. Everyone then said, "At this point isn't this our 'prayer meeting'?" but they confirmed their trip to Ninh Binh.
A few days later, the 'Dokbakz' arrived at the 'Old Quarter', the starting point of Hanoi sightseeing. In the 'Old Quarter', made up of 36 streets, they went to see the local landmark, 'St. Joseph cathedral'. After taking a group photo and tasting 'sói gói' (Vietnamese glutinous rice cake) at a nearby street stall, the 'Dokbakz' started a dokbak game for snack expenses. In the spoon-flip game Hong In-kyu came in last and became the first dokbak loser. Afterwards they were happy looking over the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake and ate ice cream at a nearby cafe. At that time Kim Jun-ho and Jang Dong-min saw the 'Ngoc Son shrine' in the middle of the lake and came up with the idea, "It looks about 500 meters to there; let's spin the wheel and the person who lands on it must complete the course within seven minutes in a dokbak game."
They spun the wheel immediately and Kim Jun-ho was selected. Hong In-kyu laughed, "Think of it as a groom's endurance test~." Kim Jun-ho ran hard but, seeing the ticket booth line in front of the shrine, panicked and failed the mission. After accruing one dokbak and paying for the ice cream, Kim Jun-ho guided everyone to one of Hanoi's three famous pho restaurants, selected as a 'three-year consecutive Michelin favorite', saying, "Let's go to a pho spot." With a long waiting line in front of the restaurant, Jang Dong-min suggested, "Then while we wait shall we play a game? Let's vote which is tastier, pho or kalguksu," and called acquaintances to conduct a survey. The group split into a 'pho camp' of Kim Dae-hee, Kim Jun-ho and Jang Dong-min versus a 'kalguksu camp' of Yoo Se-yoon and Hong In-kyu, and after a close contest the 'pho camp' won. Yoo Se-yoon and Hong In-kyu then had a 'dokbak showdown', and Hong In-kyu lost and became the second dokbak.
After enjoying pho, the 'Dokbakz' took the local cyclo to the 'Ngoc Son shrine' that Kim Jun-ho had failed to enter earlier. Despite the rainy weather, they enjoyed the picturesque scenes from the cyclo and bought admission tickets when they arrived at the 'Ngoc Son shrine'. Jang Dong-min told a 600-year-old legend associated with Hoan Kiem Lake, saying, "There is said to be a huge and sacred softshell turtle here," which surprised everyone. Shortly after entering the shrine, the 'Dokbakz' were astonished to see a mounted specimen of a giant softshell turtle estimated to have lived more than 200 years. They said, "Let's borrow the turtle's energy and all pray," and each made a wish. Hong In-kyu prayed, "I've been getting dokbak often lately and feel sad. Turtle deity, I will live righteously from now on. Please help me." Kim Jun-ho, taking off his hat, prayed earnestly, "Turtle deity, please let our Jimin live a long life and help our child to be born healthy." A little later a turtle poked its head out of the lake, startling the 'Dokbakz', and they marveled and said happily, "It seems our wishes will all come true."
In the warm atmosphere, a dokbak game for the shrine admission and cyclo expenses began. This game was run with letters Jang Dong-min brought, and he explained, "An elementary school fan wrote letters to us. One dokbak loser is already decided among these letters." Everyone nervously took the letter addressed to their name, and self-proclaimed 'child president' Hong In-kyu confidently said, "I have the most young fans so I probably won't get dokbak." However, Hong In-kyu produced the letter designating him as the dokbak loser, providing a twist. Suddenly becoming the third dokbak, Hong In-kyu said bitterly, "I even prayed to the turtle deity, so why did I get picked?" Kim Jun-ho emphasized the dokbak spirit, saying, "Smile~, why like that on a trip!" Afterwards they headed to another tourist spot, the 'train-track village'.
After a 15-minute taxi ride from the 'Ngoc Son shrine', the 'train-track village' turned out to be an 'emotional street' with cafes lined along both sides of the actual tracks. There the 'Dokbakz' enjoyed cold draft beer and took life shots as they watched the train pass right in front of the cafe. They also discussed in advance, "Let's decide the punishment for the trip's 'most dokbaks' now," and Jang Dong-min proposed, "In 'Ninh Binh' we go to tomorrow there is a famous staircase of about 500 steps. Let's make climbing that the punishment." The members added options, saying, "Wear a sweat suit and acupressure shoes too?" and erupted into chaotic chemistry. Having decided the punishment as climbing a staircase the height of a 30-story building, the 'Dokbakz' played a bottle-cap throwing game for the beer money. Kim Jun-ho came in last in that game. With Kim Jun-ho at two dokbaks, Hong In-kyu at three dokbaks and the rest 'dokbak-free', Jang Dong-min cheered, "Now it really feels like 'Dokbak Tour'. Jun-ho hyung has found his original spirit~." Meanwhile Hong In-kyu said, "What kind of prank of fate is this," sinking into a sense of crisis.
