Comedian Park Na-rae, embroiled in a manager abuse controversy, spoke out about allegations of illegal medical practices. The "injection aunt" is said to be a medical professional, and it was explained that the injections were given in the form of a home visit by a hospital.
On the 6th, Park Na-rae's agency, Anpark, told OSEN, "Park Na-rae only received nutrient injections from someone with a medical license," denying the allegations of illegal medical practice.
Earlier, Dispatch reported circumstances suggesting that Park Na-rae received an IV from a person known as the "injection aunt" at a private residence rather than a medical facility and that an antidepressant was prescribed on her behalf. The released photos and conversation contents contained indications that Park Na-rae received medical procedures outside a hospital, sparking controversy.
Regarding this, Lee & Ko attorney Lee Se-jung, legal representative for Park Na-rae, explained, "After comprehensively reviewing the parties' statements and materials, there is nothing legally problematic about Park Na-rae's medical treatment," and "Because she could not visit the hospital due to a filming schedule, she simply requested a home visit from the doctor and nurse at the hospital she usually attends and received an IV."
However, Dispatch again asserted that the so-called "injection aunt" is not a medical professional. In response, the agency said, "We understand that the person holds a medical license," and "They first met at the hospital and developed a personal relationship, and later, when her schedule was busy and her condition was poor, she requested home visits."
Meanwhile, Park Na-rae is enduring further trouble after former managers raised allegations of power harassment and assault·embezzlement. The agency rebutted, "All of the claims are untrue," and "As time passed, former employees added new allegations and increased their financial demands, with the amounts reaching several hundred million won."
They added, "Park Na-rae is suffering great mental distress from baseless claims and media pressure," and said she has sued the former managers on charges of extortion.
Amid successive controversies, Park Na-rae is directly addressing each allegation.
