Actress Chae Dan-bi shared her thoughts on the conclusion of "Last Summer."
In the KBS 2TV Saturday-Sunday miniseries "Last Summer" (directed by Min Yeon-hong / written by Jeon Yu-ri / produced by Monster Union, Slingshot Studio), Chae Dan-bi portrayed Kim Da-ye, a level 9 civil servant and direct junior of Ha-gyeong (played by Choi Seong-eun), naturally expressing a lively charm that captivated viewers.
Ahead of the finale of "Last Summer," Chae Dan-bi expressed her gratitude through her agency Logs Studio, saying, "I was happy to be Da-ye and be together in Ha-gyeong and Do-ha's summer. There must have been many shortcomings, but I sincerely thank director Min Yeon-hong, the senior actors, and all the staff who always warmly guided me on set."
She added, "Like Da-ye, who grows into a more resilient civil servant while crying and making mistakes, it was also a time for me to grow one step further as an actress," and noted, "I will work hard to show a better side in the future. I thank the viewers who loved 'Last Summer.'"
In the drama, Chae Dan-bi convincingly portrayed a woman who was raised neatly in three Gangnam districts but, after being assigned to a failing precinct, struggles realistically amid various complaints and complicated situations. Although the tasks were unfamiliar, she persuasively depicted gradual growth by not giving up and completing them, and she received praise for showing exceptional chemistry with Ha-gyeong.
Since her debut, Chae Dan-bi, who has worked as a model for numerous brands, appeared in short films such as "Being Alive" and "Angel," as well as in the drama "The Heavenly Idol" and "Stiller: The Seven Joseon Coins," gaining recognition from the public. Viewers are eager to see what path Chae Dan-bi, who displayed stable acting and attractive visuals uncommon for a newcomer in "Last Summer," will take next.
Meanwhile, the final broadcast of the KBS 2TV Saturday-Sunday miniseries "Last Summer," in which Chae Dan-bi appears, will air tonight (the 7th) at 9:20 p.m.
