SEVENTEEN member Boo Seung-kwan of the popular idol group drew praise as "Bbu manager," who is sincere about volleyball and the Wonder Dogs, on The Wonder Coach.
The special episode of the MBC variety program The Wonder Coach that aired on the afternoon of the 7th was presented as "The Wonder Coach growth story: Wonder Dogs binge watch."
The Wonder Coach was originally planned as an eight-episode series, but it received great love throughout its run, sweeping Sunday variety show buzz and ranking No. 1 in the 2049 ratings. On that strength, it extended once to a ninth episode (final episode) on the 23rd of last month, and not satisfied with that, a special broadcast was additionally scheduled today (the 7th).
Boo Seung-kwan of SEVENTEEN also joined that journey. That was because he was the manager of the Pilseung Wonder Dogs. Initially known as a longtime fan of women's professional volleyball, Boo Seung-kwan appeared as a manager from the founding process of the Pilseung Wonder Dogs and was active as the so-called "Bbu manager."
Boo Seung-kwan also attended the final broadcast group viewing event with fans. Before the viewing, he asked the audience gathered at the site once more to cheer for the players, saying, "I would appreciate it if you continue to cheer for the players even after the program ends."
He even prompted cheers by saying, "Everyone, shout 'Pilseung, Wonder Dogs!' If you shout loudly, we might do season 2," showing that he cared only for The Wonder Coach without promoting his main job.
The unaired footage revealed that even that was proof of Boo Seung-kwan's passion. It turned out that on the day of the group viewing, Boo Seung-kwan had a filming schedule and could not attend the group viewing, but he took advantage of a break during filming and rushed to the group viewing site.
Seeing Boo Seung-kwan, who had even dyed his hair and come in a changed appearance like an idol, manager Kim Yeon-kyung herself exclaimed, "Wow, you look like an idol," eliciting laughter.
Boo Seung-kwan said, "I can't watch it all. Filming ends at 2 a.m. I had some free time during filming, so I came," expressing regret that he could not stay until the end of the event. The players, moved, added warmth by saying, "He is truly sincere about the Wonder Dogs."
