In PROBONO, Seong Dong-il sits on the judge's bench.
Episode 2 of the tvN weekend drama PROBONO, which airs tonight (7th) at 9:10 p.m. (written by Moon Yoo-seok / directed by Kim Seong-yoon / planned by Studio Dragon / produced by Sequence One, Lotte Cultureworks, Studio Flow), features actor Seong Dong-il making a surprise appearance as presiding judge Choi Ho-jip to watch Kang Da-wit (played by Jung Kyung-ho) debut as a public interest lawyer in person.
After the mysterious apple-box incident shook his legal career, Kang Da-wit, with help from law school classmate and new O&Partners CEO Oh Jung-in (played by Lee Yoo-young), was assigned as the PROBONO team leader and began a new life as a public interest lawyer. However, having handled only major cases as a judge, public interest litigation is likely to be an entirely unfamiliar situation for him. To make matters worse, the court assigned to hear his first case is presided over by the notoriously tough presiding judge Choi Ho-jip (played by Seong Dong-il), well known in legal circles, focusing attention on Kang Da-wit's first courtroom defense.
With interest focused on whether Kang Da-wit can safely take his first steps as a public interest lawyer, released photos capture Kang Da-wit standing for his first defense, drawing attention. Seated at the defense table, Kang Da-wit's face shows an uneasy atmosphere at a glance, foreshadowing a difficult defense scene.
