Lee Ji-hyun, formerly of Jewelry, revealed recent news that she is living a new life as a hair designer.
On the 7th broadcast of SBS 'My Little Old Boy' (hereafter 'My Little Old Boy'), actor Kim Seung-soo brought the France-born pansori singer "Mapo Lorr" to visit former Jewelry member and currently practicing hair designer Lee Ji-hyun.
On the broadcast, Lee Ji-hyun greeted viewers saying "I am now Grace" and emphasized her new identity as "hair designer Grace."
While introducing Lee Ji-hyun, Lee Sang-min said, "My sister also divorced like me..." which stirred the scene, and Lee Ji-hyun reacted in embarrassment, saying, "Why would you say that?" Then Lee Sang-min tried to recover the moment, saying, "She is a truly capable and well-off sister. It would be good to know a sister like this in Korea," which drew laughter.
The reason Lee Sang-min visited Lee Ji-hyun was to create a new hairstyle for the French pansori singer Mapo Lorr. Lee Ji-hyun said, "I prepared a wig for Lorr," hinting at styling reminiscent of Blackpink's Jennie and raising expectations.
During the procedure, when Mapo Lorr asked, "How do you know if this man is a good man?", Lee Ji-hyun did not lose her characteristic frankness. Lee Ji-hyun advised, "Men have bravado and bluster, so they often lie before marriage to appear good to women. Believe only 70% of what men say and trust the documents for the rest." To this, Seo Jang-hoon added, "Lee Ji-hyun is an expert in that field," and Shin Dong-yup added laughter, saying, "Even 70% seems excessive."
Meanwhile, Lee Ji-hyun, who debuted with Jewelry in 2001, is raising one son and one daughter alone after two divorces. It drew sympathy when it became known that she filed two lawsuits over her ex-husband's unpaid child support, and she recounted the pain of repeatedly failing beauty exams; in March of this year she passed the cosmetology certification and began a new life as a hair designer, receiving much support from many people.<
