Controversy surrounding broadcaster Park Na-rae is spreading again. This time, the spark of conflict flared up after it was revealed that Park Na-rae's mother transferred 10 million won each to two former managers.
According to a report by one outlet on the 7th, Park Na-rae's mother deposited 10 million won into the accounts of two former managers around 10 p.m. on the 4th. This was about seven hours after the former managers filed a provisional seizure application for 100 million won.
However, the former managers immediately returned the amount and sent a warning message through their attorney telling them not to repeat such actions. Later, it was reported that Park Na-rae learned that her mother had sent the money while discussing matters with her lawyer.
Regarding this, a representative for Park Na-rae told OSEN that Park Na-rae was in the process of organizing her position with her lawyer at the time, and that her mother appears to have acted unilaterally out of worry.
The problem is that Park Na-rae's mother is the de facto representative of the agency Anpark. Because of this, concerns have been raised that the transfer could work against them in legal disputes. Currently, the former managers have filed a complaint accusing Park Na-rae of causing special injury, and they have also accused her of embezzlement, alleging she used company funds privately for her ex-boyfriend and others.
On the other hand, Park Na-rae has countersued on charges of extortion, saying the former managers demanded a large sum based on false claims. As legal battles between the two sides intensify, attention is focused on what outcome the conflict will reach.
Meanwhile, Park Na-rae is also under investigation over allegations of illegal medical procedures. It is reported that a complaint was filed through the national petition system, but Park Na-rae's side told OSEN that she only received vitamin injections from someone with a medical license and denied any illegality.
Despite this, there is no expectation of a suspension of activities. Major programs such as MBC I Live Alone, tvN Amazing Saturday and Rescue Me! Holmes are airing normally without editing out Park Na-rae.
A close associate of Park Na-rae told OSEN that although it is true she is having a hard time because of the sudden situation, they judged they could not harm colleagues and production staff who create the programs together, and that she has a strong will to continue her activities and is doing her best even in the current situation.
Amid continued controversy, attention is focused on whether the transfers by Park Na-rae's mother were simply a "sign of concern" or actions that will affect legal judgments.
