Cortis once again proved it is "rookie of the year" by winning two awards at "AAA 2025".
Cortis (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho) lifted the "AAA Rookie of the Year," a newcomer award, and the "AAA Best Performance" trophy at the "10th Anniversary Asia Artist Awards 2025" held on the 6th at Kaohsiung National Stadium (10th Anniversary Asia Artist Awards 2025, hereinafter "AAA 2025"). The award was even more meaningful because they are a "young creator crew" that jointly creates the music, choreography and visuals that make up their stage.
The five members said, "We wanted it because the rookie award can only be won once after debut. We are honored to win. Thank you and we love our "COER" (COER, fandom name) members who gave us the strength to make a great stage."
That day Cortis heated up the awards ceremony by performing their debut album intro "GO!" and title track "What You Want" back to back. When the members appeared, the stadium erupted with thunderous cheers. The five members added to the enjoyment of the performance with varied movements suited to a 360-degree open stage. Choreography that advanced onto the thrust stage, harmonies performed on lifts, and arrangements that highlighted the charm of the band sound combined to make it impossible to look away. They filled the massive stadium with solid vocal skills and presence, delivering a performance worthy of "rookie of the year".
Cortis, who earlier won the "Best New Artist" trophy, a newcomer award, at the "2025 MAMA AWARDS," added two trophies at "AAA 2025," signaling the start of full-fledged trophy collecting.
Meanwhile, Cortis will head out to sweep year‑end broadcasts and award shows, including KBS2 "2025 MUSIC BANK Global Festival in Japan" on the 14th, SBS "2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon" on the 25th, and the "40th Golden Disc Awards" on Jan. 10 next year.
