Joo Young-hoon unleashed a string of humorous anecdotes about his father, who is a pastor, turning the studio into a sea of laughter.
On the 6th, MBN variety show 'Sokpuri Show Dongchimi' featured Lee Hye-jung, Yoo Nan-hee, Kim Mi-ryeong and Joo Young-hoon, who appeared to talk on the theme "like father, like son."
Joo Young-hoon said, "My father is a pastor, so he only reads the Bible and knows nothing about what's going on in the world. He only watches news, sports and religious broadcasts." He added, "When he turns on the TV to watch the news and a variety or music program comes on, he changes it in less than a second. He said all music in this world is devilish music," which drew peals of laughter.
In particular, Joo Young-hoon said his father's reaction to trot is extreme, saying, "These days when trot competition programs come on, he hates them and quickly changes the channel. I, his son, am a judge…" revealing an embarrassing reality.
Joo Young-hoon also revealed his pastor father's "humor zero" side. Joo Young-hoon said, "My father has no sense of humor, he's very rigid and has no playfulness. Every time I listen to his sermon, I think, 'How can one make a sermon so unfunny?'" which sent the cast into fits of laughter.
Joo Young-hoon continued, "My mother is like me, so on the way home after the service they always have marital fights. When my mother says, 'If you're going to give an example, give an example of someone from the neighborhood; why do you talk so long about those people from the Old Testament who lived thousands of years ago?' my father snaps back, saying, 'This is not gracious…'" filling the scene with laughter.
Meanwhile, Joo Young-hoon was born in 1969 and turned 56 this year. He is a star composer who created many hits for Turbo, Uhm Jung-hwa, KOYOTE and Kim Hyun-jung. He married actress Lee Yoon-mi in 2006 and has a daughter, Joo Ra-el.<
