The volleyball player Inkushi, who received great love on 'The Wonder Coach', is preparing for naturalization in Korea.
The special episode of the MBC entertainment program 'The Wonder Coach', which aired on the afternoon of the 7th, was presented as a binge watch of 'Wonder Dogs: the rookie coach's growth series'.
'The Wonder Coach' was originally planned as an eight-episode series, but it received great love throughout its run, sweeping Sunday entertainment buzz and ranking first in the 20-49 demographic ratings. Riding that momentum, it concluded with a ninth episode (final episode) that aired on the 23rd of last month, and not satisfied with that, a special broadcast was additionally scheduled today (the 7th).
In response, the production team presented 'unaired footage' that could not be seen in the regular broadcast. Among them was the growth story of Inkushi, a Mongolian who received praise throughout the broadcast.
The final episode of 'The Wonder Coach' was also organized as a group viewing event in which die-hard Wonder Dogs fans gathered to watch together. Accordingly, Kim Yeon-gyeong and the players went to the screening room in person and watched the final episode together on the big screen with their families.
Among them, Inkushi sat near the center seats with Kim Yeon-gyeong and captain Pyo Seung-joo. Kim Yeon-gyeong teased him wittily, saying, "Hey, Inkushi sat in the middle? You've grown a lot?" while showing delight.
The Wonder Dogs members, who watched Inkushi's growth story together since the tryout in July, were particularly worried about Inkushi's Korean naturalization test. When Inkushi said, "I can take the nationality test in a year and a half," the players stepped forward and worried together, saying, "I heard it's difficult." In response, Kim Yeon-gyeong cheered Inkushi on, saying, "Fighting!", adding warmth.
Even at the company dinner, attention toward Inkushi poured out. Eventually, the remark "Adopt Inkushi. Call him Ikushi" even appeared, drawing laughter.
