Actress Moon Jeong-hee attracted attention by revealing 27 years of salsa experience.
On the 5th broadcast of KBS 2TV Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant (hereinafter 'Fun-Staurant' / directed by Yoon Byung-il), Moon Jeong-hee was shown inviting her 20-year close friends Park Sol-mi and Park Hyo-joo.
That day Park Sol-mi said to Moon Jeong-hee, "I was frustrated because of you," and shared her impressions from when they were filming a movie together. Park Sol-mi honestly said, "I filmed my first movie with my older sister. She danced so well I really thought she was a party girl," which drew laughter. She went on to reveal, "My older sister would go out dancing even at dawn like a moth to a flame," causing the set to burst into laughter.
Moon Jeong-hee confessed that she has as many as 27 years of salsa experience and moreover worked as a salsa dance instructor for eight years. She said, "I started not long after salsa dance came to Korea," and added, "I competed a lot and lived as a competitor. I still can't quit salsa."
Previously Moon Jeong-hee appeared on a variety show and expressed her passion for salsa, saying, "My husband does salsa DJing, and I sometimes dance at a salsa specialty club."
After the broadcast was released, internet users poured out surprise and admiration saying, "I can't believe Moon Jeong-hee used to be a salsa competitor… her class is different," "Now I know why the screen rips whenever a dance scene comes out," and "Isn't 27 years of experience almost at the national team level?"
Meanwhile, Fun-Staurant, a home-cooking restaurant where celebrity cooks who are said to be good at cooking in the entertainment industry compete, airs every Friday at 8:30 p.m. on KBS 2TV.<
