Actress Lee Mi-suk candidly shared her thoughts about her 40s.
On the 5th, legendary actress Lee Mi-suk, in her 48th year since debut, appeared as the ninth "my star" on SBS My Grumpy Secretary (hereinafter "the show").
On that episode, Lee Mi-suk reminisced, "I was the prettiest in my 40s." Lee Mi-suk laughed, "At that time the height of high heels was a woman's style," adding, "When I tried to organize them, I found 20cm heels."
She continued, "In autumn I walked through the Gangnam intersection in high heels. I was so happy I shouted," adding, "I still try this and that now because I want to feel that sentiment," recalling the excitement and freedom of that time.
Lee Seo-jin, who was listening to the story, deeply agreed. He said candidly, "I think the early 40s are the golden years of life," adding, "There is leisure, and everything reaches its peak. But after that it feels like a decline. I didn't know at the time, but I realized it after the fact."
By contrast, Kim Kwang-kyu said, "I was doing well for a long time, but in my 40s I was the victim of a jeonse fraud," adding, "I lost my 40s. After going through about three trials, I suddenly found myself in my 50s," prompting a wry laugh.
Meanwhile, Lee Mi-suk, who debuted after placing in the 1978 Miss Lotte pageant, is an all-time legendary actress with 48 years of active work across film and drama. <
