Entertainer Park Na-rae's side has identified former managers' embezzlement of corporate funds and is preparing to counterattack.
On the 6th, OSEN reported that Park Na-rae's side has identified the former managers' embezzlement of corporate funds and is assessing its scale. Park Na-rae's side said, "We detected the former managers' embezzlement of corporate funds and are assessing the scale," and added, "It appears the former managers have created this situation after embezzling corporate funds."
Park Na-rae's former managers on the 3rd filed a petition for provisional seizure of real estate at the Seoul Western District Court and foreshadowed a claim for damages of about 100 million won. They claimed concrete and serious criminal allegations beyond simple mistreatment, including workplace harassment, special injury, proxy prescription, and unpaid production fees, and said they were forced to drink and fetch snacks, clean up after parties, and perform private tasks outside working hours, as well as being forced to serve as household helpers for family members.
In response, Park Na-rae rebutted, "After receiving severance pay, the former managers additionally demanded an amount equal to 10% of the company's previous year's sales," and said, "The demanded amount gradually increased to reach several tens of millions of won," adding, "Some allegations raised by certain media outlets will be clarified through legal procedures in the future. Our company will faithfully clarify the facts and carry out necessary measures diligently."
Regarding the later-raised issue of operating an unregistered one-person agency, she explained, "We recently confirmed that registration for popular culture and arts planning was delayed. That task was handled by the former employees who raised the issue, and it appears they falsely reported at the time that all registration procedures had been completed."
On the evening of the 5th, allegations of Park Na-rae's embezzlement also surfaced. According to one outlet's report, Park Na-rae's former managers on that day filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul accusing Park Na-rae of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement). The complaint alleged that Park Na-rae, as the de facto representative of the one-person agency An Park, repeatedly committed embezzlement over a long period by arbitrarily using company funds for private purposes unrelated to business and leaking them externally.
In response, Park Na-rae's side issued an official statement saying, "This is false, and we have not yet received the complaint."
