Broadcaster Park Narae's allegations are multiplying. After she refuted her former managers' disclosures, an allegation arose that she paid her ex-boyfriend a salary with company funds.
According to a media report on the 5th, Park Narae's former managers filed a complaint at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station that day accusing Park Narae of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement). The complaint said that Park Narae, as the de facto representative of the one-person agency Anpark, repeatedly committed embezzlement over a long period by arbitrarily using company funds for private purposes unrelated to business and leaking them externally.
The former managers alleged that Park Narae falsely listed her ex-boyfriend, a person surnamed A, as an official employee and paid him a monthly salary from January to November this year for 11 months, claiming the total aggregates came to about 44 million won. They also alleged that around August this year Park Narae transferred about 300 million won from a company account to help secure Mr. A's jeonse deposit. The former managers also said that Park Narae's mother, listed as the representative of Anpark, was falsely registered as an official employee despite not actually providing labor, and that a total of about 55 million won was paid over 11 months as monthly salaries.
The complaint also alleged that from January to November this year Park Narae used at least about 100 million won from a company account for personal housing management fees and personal item purchases.
Park Narae faced allegations of power abuse due to the former managers' disclosures. The former managers on the 3rd filed an application for provisional seizure of real estate at the Seoul Western District Court and warned of a damages suit seeking about 100 million won. They alleged specific and serious criminal offenses beyond simple mistreatment, including workplace harassment, special injury, proxy prescription, and unpaid production fees, and said they were forced to provide alcohol at gatherings, run errands for side dishes, clean up after parties and perform other private tasks outside work hours, and were even forced to act as household helpers for family members.
In response, Park Narae denied the claims, saying the former managers demanded an additional amount equal to 10% of the company's previous year's revenue after receiving severance pay, and that the requested amount gradually increased to reach several tens of millions of won. She said some of the allegations raised by certain media outlets will be clarified through legal procedures in the future and that her company will faithfully clarify the facts and take necessary measures.
Besides the power abuse allegations, Park Narae also explained her unregistered operation of a one-person agency. She said she only recently confirmed that the registration for popular culture and arts planning business had been delayed, that the task had been handled by the former employees who raised the issue, and that they apparently falsely reported at the time that all registration procedures had been completed.
From power abuse allegations to unregistered operation of a one-person agency and embezzlement allegations, suspicions about Park Narae keep piling up. Park Narae, who suffered great grief in 2025 from the death of a person surnamed Jo, is spending an unusually cold winter, and attention is focused on how she will cope with the continuing succession of allegations.
