Kang Tae-oh and Kim Se-jeong have finished preparing to walk a flower-strewn path wearing floral shoes.
On Oct. 5 (Fri), episode 9 of the MBC Friday-Saturday drama Moon River (writer Jo Seung-hee / director Lee Dong-hyun / planning Kwon Seong-chang / produced by High Jium Studio) saw Lee Gang (Kang Tae-oh) and Park Dal-i (Kim Se-jeong), who had become a real married couple, uncover the plot of left state councilor Kim Han-cheol (Jin Goo) and achieve the feat of arresting him. Episode 9 recorded nationwide ratings of 6% and metropolitan area ratings of 5.8%, and the scene in which King Lee Hui (Kim Nam-hee) orders, "Kill Bingung," soared to a peak of 7.4% (Nielsen Korea).
After confirming each other's feelings the previous night, Lee Gang and Park Dal-i, as true lovers, spent every day soaked in honeyed moments and drifting in happiness. In particular, when they confirmed that their blood mixed in water would cause their souls to switch, the mysterious correlation between blood and water added intrigue.
Moreover, after hearing Lee Un (Lee Shin-young) say he intended to propose to Kim Woo-hee (Hong Soo-joo), Lee Gang decided to hold a wedding with Park Dal-i. Lee Gang, who prepared gifts for the wedding and floral shoes, moved Park Dal-i deeply with a surprise flower path event.
In response to Lee Gang's proposal, "Will you be my wife?", Park Dal-i happily accepted and the two held their wedding amid warm blessings from those around them. The moment Lee Gang's dream of living with the woman he loves and Park Dal-i's dream of strolling leisurely in floral shoes were realized, the fated blossom that had bloomed between them also turned red.
However, to secure complete happiness for Lee Gang and Park Dal-i, left state councilor Kim Han-cheol must be brought down. Tracking Choreng-ital, who raised Jimjo in the cave, Lee Gang found the link between the perpetrator of the Gyesa year incident, Kim Han-cheol, and Jimjo, and set out with Lee Un to verify it.
At the same time, Kim Han-cheol was plotting to make Park Dal-i the crown princess, Kang Yeon-wol (Kim Se-jeong), in order to eliminate her. Pressuring King Lee Hui to bring Park Dal-i to the interrogation hall, Kim Han-cheol used the false confession of manufacturing palace attendant Mi-geum (Kim Ye-won), the niece of the chief manufacturer, as evidence to accuse Park Dal-i of being behind the Jimjo incident. Unwilling to accept this, Park Dal-i probed the gaps in Mi-geum's words, and when Mi-geum's testimony about Jimjo was revealed to be false, Park Dal-i's innocence was naturally established.
Just then, Lee Gang, who had discovered a connecting passage linking the cave where Jimjo was hidden to Kim Han-cheol's house, appeared at the interrogation hall and reassured Park Dal-i. Lee Gang presented the evidence he had found, and eventually Kim Han-cheol was escorted to prison on charges of treason. As the long-awaited end to their revenge drew near, Lee Gang and Park Dal-i shared joy as they looked at each other, increasing their delight.
Meanwhile, Park Dal-i has been thrown into confusion, suffering nightmares about Kang Yeon-wol's memories since Hong-yeon's seal was broken. As questions arise about whether Park Dal-i's memories will return, King Lee Hui suddenly gave the shocking order, "So-hun, no, kill Bingung," instructing Park Dal-i's death and stunning everyone. With Kim Han-cheol's downfall anticipated now, attention is focused on the background of the order and why the king must have Park Dal-i killed.
