Q. "The Fourth Love Revolution" has ended. How do you feel about letting go of Kang Min-hak?
A. It was my first work filmed on a college campus, and it was truly an honor to meet viewers as Kang Min-hak. Above all, this work is even more meaningful to me because I think I was able to show various charms through the character Kang Min-hak. I sincerely thank the viewers who loved "The Fourth Love Revolution."
Q. You played a character 180 degrees different from Yoon Seong-jun in your previous work "Try." What did you focus on most when playing Kang Min-hak?
A. Yoon Seong-jun in "Try" and Kang Min-hak in "The Fourth Love Revolution" are characters with very different textures, so I think I pressed my own transition switch each time I acted. If Yoon Seong-jun had a calm and solid side, Kang Min-hak is more cheerful and delicate, so I tried hard to take different approaches to his speech, reactions and energy.
Q. Was there anything you worked on to show a new side of Kim Yo-han?
A. I didn't want to show only Kang Min-hak's pure side. Even if he looked bright on the outside, I think I deeply considered the small details such as slight changes in expression in scenes where emotions waver to express that he worries a lot inside.
Q. You also sang the OST "You are my light" for "The Fourth Love Revolution." With what feelings did you sing the song?
A. Participating in the OST of a work I'm appearing in is always a special experience, and I approached it with gratitude this time as well. I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the work as much as possible, so I concentrated during recording while recalling Kang Min-hak's emotional line.
Q. You earned the epithet "next-generation rom-com master." Are there any genres or characters you want to challenge in the future?
A. I like romantic comedies, and trying action acting was fun, so I want to keep challenging myself. Besides that, whatever the genre or role, if an opportunity comes to me, I want to prepare hard and continue to take on the challenge.
